Todd is a critically acclaimed composer, songwriter, and member of the indie rock band Bad Astronaut (on Fat Wreck Chords).
His youngest son, Rowan, was still learning to talk during the long days of the pandemic, and their playful conversations sparked silly word combinations that led to the idea of a children’s book – except for "Tiger Beans," an early nickname for his eldest son, Aden.
The words wouldn't have transformed into an actual book without Todd meeting Geta, whose artistic magic brought them to life. Todd and his family currently reside in Santa Barbara, California.

Now she's an illustrator of over 50 books for kids and teens. The only thing she likes to do more than illustrating is having fun with friends, family and her two cats.
Geta believes that the best kids' book is the book that makes you laugh, think and imagine, and the very first time she saw Todd's stanzas was also her moment of finding a real treasure. So if you hear a happy giggle or a chuckle somewhere in Toronto, Canada, it's probably Geta drawing a new illustration for the next book in the Tiger Bean Series!
